VINCENT MURITHI
“We often go hungry due to the lack of food. I have no blanket or even soap to wash with ...."

Vincent Murithi has just completed 8th grade and now is ready to join high school. In Kenya, school year starts in January and ends in November. He has high hopes of going on to high school despite the challenges that face him.

Vincent was born into a very poor family of 6 members. His parents are manual laborers spending their days working on neighboring farms when work is available. When his parents do earn money, they make less than $1 a day, making it impossible for school fees to be paid.

Vincent tells us, “We often go hungry due to the lack of food. I have no blanket or even soap to wash with.” Yet, when referring to school he continues, “Most of the time I am either in position 1 or 2. I would like to become a surgeon.”

Without your help, Vincent’s education will end at this level. His dreams will die in the fields and like his parents, he will earn less than $1 a day.

With your help, Vincent will have a chance to flourish.
